Dear Friends,

The First Annual "Derrill Stoddard Race" will be held Saturday, May 1, 2004. This 5K walk/run event is co-sponsored by Wellness Within Chiropractic and the Easthampton Police Department.

Beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the Public Safety Complex and ending at our Liberty Street office, the race will be the first to use the beautiful Manhan Rail Trail. Join us following the race for the celebration ceremony with awards, music, food and games for the kids. All proceeds from the race will be donated to the Cam Neely Leukemia Foundation in honor of Derrill.

If you, or your business would like to contribute to this important cause, we would appreciate your support.

Volunteers are also needed to help in various ways, as well. Please contact me or a race committee member (listed below) for race day information, registration forms, and ways you or your business can help. Dust off your running shoes, bring your co-workers, friends and family and kick off the very first event held on the Manhan Rail Trail.

Yours in health,

Dr. Shelley Wilton

Race Committee Members:

"Derrill became a patient of mine toward the end of his battle with Leukemia. I knew him for a short five months, but it was clear from the beginning that he was someone special.

Even with his illness he had that twinkle in his eyes. We talked a lot about the community, as that was a big part of both of our lives. His dedication to the town and the citizens of Easthampton reached far beyond his service as a police officer. Thats why I wanted to sponsor this race, in honor of his lifetime dedication and commitment to this community. He would be proud that we were all getting together to race and celebrate.

Please join us on May 1st for the race and please contribute what you can to this important cause. "
